The i3+ doesn't have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots that we test. It may be stuck on power cords or socks and have trouble moving between surfaces, such as rug and hardwood.
iRobot suggests that you clean the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it might come across. Also, keep the dustbin and filters clear to avoid getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station and automatically empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. Then it continues cleaning where it started. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for about an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes around three hours to fully recharge.
2. Roomba by iRobot
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging and self-navigating, but the most important feature is the self-emptying bin. This will eliminate the need for routine maintenance.
The Roomba i7+ is able to remember up to 10 floor plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that allows it to identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot with voice or through the app.
In our testing the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our runner-up and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surfaces kinds, including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin that eliminates major sources of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.
We were also awestruck by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room and even vacuum a specific area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. After connecting to these services, we were able use the i7+'s voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring the performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10

The main issue with the V10 is its limited running time. Its claims on the market that it can provide up to 60 minutes of run time are not true as CR's tests have shown. This is an average, not an exceptional, time to run the battery-powered cordless vacuum. This is enough time to sweep the typical home but not enough to get into every corner. (A second time is usually sufficient). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than earlier Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is significantly better for carpet floors with low pile.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
The 694 is a standard robot vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have lots of money to invest in the latest model of robot. It was able to remove all kinds of debris and sizes in our tests and would often go over the same area several times for a thorough clean. Its flat front side helps it to reach into corners and along the edges of walls and walls, which is a nice addition.
Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it's not equipped with the ability to map that comes with more advanced models like our top choices and the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. In our tests in our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It removed 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). However, it wasn't particularly well with larger objects, like cords and socks which was disappointing. The app also makes it easy to steer the robot manually in the event of need. For instance, my living room rug has a darkly colored border that can make it difficult for other robots I've tried. However the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border without registering it as a cliff. The ability to program a cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving convenience.
