The Robot Vacuum Deals Case Study You'll Never Forget

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever thought of get a robot vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's top-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its biggest innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. This uses AI to identify objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

Its design is also an improvement over the rest with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robotic rather than a loud, loud one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It was able capture sand, small gravel and even a little grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. And it did all this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.

While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not too expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.

Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it can be difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. These bots also come with many additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with some of the features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The Q5+'s navigation is excellent, with few misses along walls and in corners.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas, adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock designed specifically to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place emptying the bin is done with relative ease. It has a large LCD screen that is very useful when setting up schedules and altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people however it can assist you in keeping the track of the maintenance intervals for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market, but it's expensive.

It's a tiny base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.

And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's the only robovac I've tested that does well at picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It also can't climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a vacuum robot that can do everything.

If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. A lot of eufy models are significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and superior overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app guides you through the steps needed to connect it to Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be located near an outlet with plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. The design is less flashy than some of the rival models, and features a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.

The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access.  self cleaning vacuum  returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.

The eufy G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged faster and has a similar battery life. It also offers better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require more emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products like cereal.
